This year I have set my reading goal to 25 books. I decided to go easy on myself this time around. I will probably read more than 25, but I don’t like the pressure I put on myself.
I will be adding books I have read to my Goodreads account. I like using their challenge tracker.
So far I have read 18 books. They are as follows:
The Air He Breathes by Brittainy C. Cherry This story had quiet an interesting twist. I really didn’t see it coming. It is a romance, kind of second chance.
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton Classic. If you haven’t read this one yet, please do yourself a favor and read it!
Midnight Blue by L.J. Shen My first L.J. Shen book. I am now a fan and plan to read every book she has. This one was a non put-er-downer kind of book. Romance, new adult. Good!
In Cold Chamomile By Joy Avon I was given an e-copy of this book by the author through Netgalley. It is a cozy mystery. I was able to get through it, but have realized cozy mysteries are not for me.
The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams Hands down my FAVORITE read so far this year. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Also, a movie is now in the works?!
Not the Girl You Marry by Andie J Christopher
My first ever Goodreads win! I was able to relate to the character a bit as a person of color. I know what it feels like to have people comment on my looks, as if that’s all I have to offer (I hope that doesn’t sound too conceited)
This Side of Tomorrow by Sally White A paranormal romance I was not expecting! A love triangle between a girl, a boy, and a ghost? So glad I read it! Thank you Booksirens for this e-copy!
The Lucky Ones by Liz Lawson I received an e-copy from Netgalley. This one is about a survivor of a school shooting and the son of the defense attorney. It had it’s dark moments, but it’s YA.
Someone Blue by Lacy Williams Short, cute, romance story.
Wes Gets the Girl by Lacy Williams I could not find a link on Goodreads for this one. It was also a short cute romance read.
The Billionaires First Love by April Murdock Girl next door falls in love with her childhood friend. He turns out to be a billionaire. Cute and clean romance.
Look Alive Twenty-Five by Janet Evanovich The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich is hilarious! Stephanie is a bounty hunter, except she’s not good at her job. If you want a good laugh, read this series.
White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout A gargoyle romance?! Yes, please! Note that this is YA, so not too graphic with the romance.
Not Your Idol Vol 1 by Aoi Makino A graphic Novel about a former Kpop idol. After an assault at a meet and greet, Nina leaves the group and starts dressing like a boy. She attends high school and tries to keep to herself. Except, did someone figure out who she is?
Bewitched by Kelly Moran A gem! An absolute gem! I received an e-copy from Booktasters and am so glad I did. I could not put it down once I started it.
Baron and the Enchantress by Paullett Golden Historical Romance with a twist?
A Woman’s Fear by Caesar Rondina Non Fiction. Trigger warning for a lot of hot topics. Reader beware.
The Shadows by J.R. Ward Book #13 in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. If you like vampires, hot and heavy romance, and action, this series is for you. NOT FOR KIDS!
Okay, this may have been a bit much. Lol. I get excited about books and reading 😊
I read The Outsiders when I was in middle school and remember really enjoying it. This side of tomorrow sounds like something I might enjoy.
